The Love Momma was an advanced female avatar that allowed a player to find a partner, become pregnant, and give birth to a digital newborn.
It offered users the chance to experience real love and intimacy through a virtual pregnancy.
Heads-up Displays (Huds) connected to a live database that focused on fertility and pregnancy.
Users could access a Love Quest button, which allowed a woman (or her partner) to initiate a conversation with someone nearby. This feature gave players the opportunity to get to know each other.
The most exciting feature was the ability to watch the baby grow within the mother’s transparent belly as it developed.
Mood Monitoring
The Love Momma database tracked the mothers' emotional states with a mood meter. Partners could purchase treats such as chocolates, pickles, and pillows to lift her spirits.
The mother was granted the ability to end her partnership with another user at any time, allowing complete control over her pregnancy experience.
Giving Birth
When her due date was coming up, the mother was sent a birthing mat. This enabled her to deliver her baby anywhere in a virtual world and simulated the birthing experience.
Completely Customizable Body and Baby
The mother was able to alter all aspects of her physique. She could choose her race or design her own skin and polish her nails.
Before the baby was born, she was also given the option to choose which physical characteristics the baby should take from the parents.
Huds and Doctors
The Partner and Pregnancy Huds had a shopping feature that allowed direct access to buy eggs, pregnancy tests, paternity tests, insemination needles, food and drinks, as well as pillows and exercise mats.
A Doctor Hud enabled users to play the role of doctors or midwives in order to help with the delivery and track the mother's health status, mood, fertility and pregnancy stage.
Gifting and AVCredits
We developed a virtual currency, AVCredits, to help customers buy gifts for mom and shop for other products.
Third parties were granted complete access to the Love Momma body in order to create custom maternity clothing in Blender and Maya.
